The Senatorial Aspirant, Anambra Central Senatorial District, Ven. T.S.Ikezue has sent warmth prayers.and blessings to the good people of Anambra Central, acknowledging God’s presence and consolation.
The sagacious Ikezue in a ‘Good Friday’ Press Release made available to Newsmen on 3rd April said “My dear constituents of Anambra Central Senatorial District (Awka North, Awka South, Anaocha, Dunukofia, Idemili North, Idemili South, & Njikoka)”
“On this Good Friday, the 39th day in Lent, I extend my warmest greetings and heartfelt blessings to you and your families. As we commemorate this day let us intentionally remember what today stands for, His pains and sufferings on the Cross; all of what He was willing to go through so that we may receive the gift of eternal life (Romans 5:6-8).”
“Help us never to take this huge gift for granted but to reflect on Your great sacrifice for love that we may live our lives everyday the way You want us to live in love, unity, hope, forgiveness, and eternal life.”
“As the Scripture says: But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5). And in the words of John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
Rev Ikezue disclosed that “Good Friday reminds us of the power of selfless Love, Sacrifice, and Redemption. In the spirit of this holy day, let us reflect on how we can emulate Christ’s example in our daily lives by showing compassion to one another, sacrificing for the greater good of our families, neighbors, communities, and working together in unity for the progress of Anambra Central.”
The Senatorial Aspirant further called on Christians saying “In our beloved district and across Anambra, may this season bring us renewed strength to overcome challenges, deeper peace in our homes and communities, and greater hope for a brighter future.”
“Let us use this period of solemn reflection to pray for one another, forgive ourselves, neighbors and recommit ourselves to building a district where every family thrives, our youths have opportunities, our women are empowered and our people live in harmony and prosperity.”
“To all Christian faithful in Anambra Central: I wish you a meaningful Good Friday filled with God’s presence.
May the Almighty God forgive all those who misrepresented Anambra Central past and present and show us mercy, for every time we were too busy to remember Your sacrifice or too distracted to fully recognise what You freely gave us (Hebrews 12:1-2).”
“Lord, through Your sacrificial death, Your marvellous light was brought into the darkness of our hearts and life (John 1:4-5). You brought Your abundant life into our emptiness (John 10:10) and give us hope in our despondency (Colossians 1:27). As we receive forgiveness instead of punishment, help us to extend this grace to others by forgiving them their wrongs done to us and preach the eternal Gospel undiluted.”
“May the selfless love and sacrifice demonstrated on the cross continue to guide and sustain us as we journey towards Easter Sunday and the joy of resurrection.”
“Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, with faith and determination, we shall continue to serve and uplift our people.”
“May God bless you abundantly, bless your families, and bless the entire Anambra Central Senatorial District.”
