The Egbengwu Development Union America (EDUA) has called for applications for scholarships from suitably qualified sons and daughters of Egbengwu quarters in Nimo Community, Njikaoka Local Government Area of Anambra states.

Our Correspondent who covered the event reports that the scholarship will focus on five students of Egbengwu quarters who have gained admission into any university of their choice in Nigeria.

Spokesperson of the Union, Dr Mrs Adamma Nwaegbunam Omile, (Iyom Osinigwe) made this known during the ‘2023 Egbengwu Ojideleke Cultural Day Festival’, held at the Ojideleke Square, Nimo on 30th December, 2023.

According to Iyom Osinigwe, “We the Egbengwu Development Union of the Americas, (EDUA) are asking for eligible students from Egbengwu who will gain 2024 admission to any university in Nigeria to submit applications”.

“We will give five students going to University in 2024 either state or federal University in Nigeria scholarship and we will pay their fees tuition fees from year one to final year”.

“So what we are asking for is to inform those intelligent sons and daughters of Egbengwu Nimo to go to our website and apply, (Egbengwu.org).

This scholarship is to commence in 2024 admission year”.

Further speaking Iyom Obinigwe said that the EdUA scholarship scheme is a meritorious service from the Nimo Abroad indigenes and it dedicated to late Chief Benjamin Omile who have sacrificed alot to the development of Egbengwu Nimo and Nimo Community in general.
