Recently in Onitsha, a yet to be identified Toyota Hiace commercial bus enroute express upper Iweka, rammed into a pedestrian female Adult, leaving her dead.
Staff Officer, Public Education for FRSC Command, Anambra State, Arc Charles A Iyiegbuniwe disclosed this in a press statement made available to newsmen on 31st May, 2024.
According to the statement, “At about 12:57hrs of the day, A TOYOTA Hiace commercial Bus without Number, enroute express Upper Iweka, rammed into a pedestrian female Adult and zoomed off”.
“FRSC rescue team arrived the scene and took the victims who was already killed to Toronto Mortuary as the Doctor confirmed her lifeless”.
“PROBABLE cause ( hit and run caused by the driver)”.
“It was observed by the eye witness who pleaded anonymous that the vehicle hit the woman and ran”.
“Sector Commander, RS5 3 Awka Anambra Commiserate with the family of the victim to take absolute control of the situation, He advise especially during this rainy period, that vehicle owner should endeavour to fix their vehicles in a regular bases and grant every Road users the equal right of way Because, Road does not forgive”.
