In recognition of his laudable contributions towards the progress and growth of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, High Chief Akai Egwuonwu, Anambra South bye-election Frontline Aspirant, was on Monday January 13, 2025 honoured as Patron of APGA Apostles and given an Award of Service, to encourage him to do more.

Presenting the award in Awka, the leader of the APGA Apostles, Chief Anthony Nchekwube Dunga said it is in reflection of Chief Egwuonwu’s tireless efforts to promote the party’s vision and values.

“High Chief Akai Egwuonwu’s commitment to APGA is well-documented. He has consistently demonstrated his passion for the party and its mission.

“His dedication to APGA continues to inspire and motivate party members and supporters alike.

“Once again, congratulations to Ozo Umeebubeagu Amichi on the well-deserved recognition as the Patron of APGA Apostles,” the group leader said.

In his response, Chief Egwuonwu said he was humbled by the honour and promised to double his efforts towards ensuring that the APGA continued to rise to an enviable position in the State.

He used the opportunity to reassure Anambra South constituents that with their mandate in the forthcoming by-election to represent them in the Senate, he would fulfill all his promises which he described as a social contract with the people of Anambra South.

“All I have said, I will do without fail and my word is my bond. I will never compromise in giving the Senatorial district quality representation as promised.

“The constituents will surely have a sigh of relief when I begin to implement my blue prints in Anambra South which are people-oriented.

“My priority remains the welfare of the people I’m going to represent, “Chief Egwuonwu added.

Recall that Chief Egwuonwu had on February 28, 2024 received APGA Life Patron Award from the party to appreciate his commitments to the progress of the party in Anambra South and the entire State.
