The Anambra State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has inaugurated a new state leadership team as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
The newly inaugurated executive committee is headed by Hon. Ifeanyi Osegbo as Chairman, with Engr. Chidi Orji as Secretary, Hon. Arinze Awogu as Treasurer, and Hon. Tony Ezekwelu as State Publicity Secretary, among other officials.
The inauguration ceremony, held on Sunday at the party’s state secretariat opposite the Anambra State Government House in Awka, also witnessed the establishment of several strategic committees, including the Truth and Reconciliation Committee, Strategy and Tactical Committee, as well as the 2027 Election Planning and Winning Committee.

Speaking during the inauguration, the new state chairman, Hon. Osegbo, pledged to reposition the APC into a formidable political force capable of winning elections across the state.
According to him, the party under his leadership would work tirelessly to ensure victory for all APC candidates in the 2027 general elections, from President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to candidates contesting for seats in the State House of Assembly.
“Our leadership will be all-inclusive, and every member of the APC in Anambra State will be carried along,” Osegbo said.
“We will strengthen our relationship with the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) and intensify efforts to further unite the APC in Anambra State. We will also strengthen grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 elections.”
He emphasized the need for party leaders at the grassroots level to promote unity and inclusiveness, describing the APC as “one big political family” in which every member must be accommodated and valued.
“Our task ahead is to unite our members and ensure that President Tinubu and all APC candidates in Anambra State record overwhelming victories in the 2027 elections,” he added.
Osegbo commended the immediate past state chairman, Chief Basil Ejike, for sustaining and strengthening the party during his tenure. He also appealed to the Senator Emmanuel Anosike-led faction of the party to set aside their grievances and work together in the interest of the APC and the advancement of Anambra State and Nigeria.
He further called on party members to support his administration to enable the new executive to achieve its objectives ahead of future electoral contests.
In their separate remarks, the party’s Secretary, Engr. Chidi Orji, and the State Treasurer, Hon. Arinze Awogu, described Osegbo as a loyal and committed party stalwart whose dedication dates back to the era of the Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and now the APC.
They expressed confidence that the successful inauguration of the new leadership would strengthen the party’s capacity to challenge its opponents in the 2027 general elections in Anambra State.
