Anambra State Government has approved for sum of thirty-four million, sixty-one thousand, two hundred and two naira, seventy-five kobo (N34, 061,202.75) for the reconstruction of Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. Commissioner for Information, Anambra State, Sir Paul Nwosu disclosed this to newsmen in a press statement made avaliable on Wednesday 15th August, 2023.
According to Nwosu “Very soon, Dr Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka which hosts the unknown soldiers’ cenotaph where parades are held, as well as other major events, will undergo a huge makeover”.
