Stakeholders of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Anambra state have appealed to Presidential elect, Ashiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to ensure that all Slots given to Anambra are for members only.

The stakeholders disclosed this in a communiqué issued at the end of the Stakeholders and Leaders meeting held in Awka during the weekend.

According to the Communique, “we use this opportunity to appeal to the incoming president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a true man to consult the party in the state in all appointments for the state to make them committed to the affairs of the party and insist that non APC members shall no be given any Federal appointment as slot of Anambra state. This will help us rebuild the party”.

The stakeholders equally resolved to set up three committees as enshrined in Article 21.13 of the Party’s constitution that will look into all known anti party activities against the party during the last election, set up eminent persons who will breach the gap among feuding members and finance committee to work out avenues for funding the party in line with the party constitution.

Earlier, speaking during the welcome address by the Chairman, All Progressive Alliance (APC) Anambra state Chapter, Hon Sir Basil Ejidike noted that the meeting was to rub minds together, take stock and admonish party members on various conducts, shortcomings and commitment towards the party during the just concluded election.

Commending, Hon Ejidike congratulated the presidential elect, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, vice President-elect, His Excellency Sen Kashim Shettima on their resounding victory at the election. Also, presidential campaign council led by Dis Sen Margery Okadigbo, Independent Campaign Committee sponsored by Dist, Sen Andy Uba and led by Okey Ezenwa as well as other members who genuinely worked for the progress of the party.
