The All Progressives Congress in Anambra State has formally endorsed President Bola Tinubu as the party’s sole candidate for the 2027 general elections, reaffirming the state chapter’s commitment to party unity and cohesion.
The endorsement was made at a stakeholders’ meeting held at the party’s state secretariat in Awka on Tuesday.
The meeting brought together party leaders, elders, former governorship and senatorial candidates, as well as grassroots representatives from across the state.
Speaking at the event, the state APC chairman, Chief Basil Ejidike, described the renewed harmony within the party and its structures in Anambra as historic, deeply rooted and fully mobilised in support of the APC and Tinubu.
Ejidike reiterated members’ commitment to strengthening party unity and rebuilding its political structures ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He explained that the stakeholders’ meeting was also aimed at harmonising party structures ahead of the state congresses.
He declared that the party’s main goal is to mobilise members across the 21 local government areas of the state to achieve at least a 95 per cent increase in votes for Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
He said, “Today, we fully endorse President Bola Tinubu for a second term from 2027 to 2031.
“The unanimous endorsement of President Tinubu is based on the performance of his administration, which has inspired many Nigerians to join the APC.
“Those coming into the party today are equal stakeholders with full rights and opportunities. Hear me clearly: Anambra APC is united, cohesive and fully mobilised.
“By the grace of God, Anambra will deliver support for President Tinubu in 2027 that will surpass previous records. The Anambra APC is very happy because the state governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, is also supporting Tinubu’s re-election.
