The Coordinator, Amiri-Oru Development Center, Oru East Local Government Area, Imo State, Hon. Chief Odyssey Irenus Obiora, has stated that the centre is being developed by him and the Members of the committee.
He stated this in an interview with journalists during the official unveiling of a compendium titled “Development Centers: Instruments of Rural Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery”, held at IMSU Multipurpose Hall, Owerri, last week.
Obiora said that since they were inaugurated into office by Governor Hope Uzodimma they have been up and doing hence their achievements which he attested are laudably developmental.
“I am number one in terms of development because I started with Achike Udenwa and I know much of development center. I’m associated with Governor Hope Uzodimma.
We graded some roads, we evacuated refuse at Umuaka Market to make it more attractive, we brought electricity at the centre by rehabilitating electric transformers and the area has light now. We are currently embarking on solar energy. Every Member has office in the centre, among other achievements. In fact, Oru East is wearing a new look because we are wise and development driven”, he noted.
Informing that Amiri-Oru Development Center was among the newly created LGA Development Centers by Governor Hope Uzodimma, Obiora, who pointed out that he is a sound administrator, having featured in the governance of the state since 1999, described Uzodimma as a core democrat who he posited has done a lot especially on road infrastructure, feat he maintained is adding to the peace and economy of Imo State.
He urged Imolites to see reason and reelect Uzodimma for second term to enable him consolidate his good work to fully recover the oil rich state.
