The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, AIG Godwin Aghaulor, has decorated three Chief Superintendant of Police to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police.
The newly decorated officers were ACP Rabiu Garba, ACP Ngozi Nwokoma, and ACP Lucky Seibai.
Speaking shortly after the decorations which took place at the Police Zone 13 on wednesdsy, 26th, June, 2024, AIG Godwin Aghaulor urged the new Assistance Commissioners of Police, to ensure that they engage more effort to effective service delivery.
AIG Aghaulor emphasized that the promotions were a testament to the hard work and dedication the officers had displayed throughout their careers. He expressed gratitude to the acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, for recommending their promotions. While commending the officers’ commitment and support the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the entire Zone 13 for making the decoration ceremony possible.
In his reaction, Former superintendent of Police, Fegge police Station Onitsha, ACP Rabiu speaking to newsmen, said the award has steered his emotions up and encourage him to put his best. ” I am not the best but glory be to God I had the decoration today. Its a big opportunity for me to put best and I sincerely appreciate the Inspector General of Police and the Commisioner of Police, CP Itam for recommending me worthy for this rank”.
Meanwhile, Traditional ruler of Ohaji Kingdom in Imo state, His Royal Majesty Eze Dr Nwokoma, said ACP Nwokoma was his course mate at Police college until he left to serve his people after the Dismiss of his father. “Am so happy seeing my wife wearing this cap, it’s been long expected and God has done it today”.

Advicing the newly promoted officers, Igwe Nwokoma tasked them to always wait unto the Lord. “His time is the best. Allow the Lord to decided on the perfect time and all will be well”.
However, Following the AIG’s address, ACP Ngozi Nwokoma who spoke on behalf of the other decorated officer expressed gratitude to God, the IGP, the PSC, the AIG, and the Zone for their roles in their promotion and decoration. She assured that they would redouble their efforts and remain dedicated to their duties.
Present at the event was friends and families of the newly promoted officers.

ACP Rabiu Garba was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force in 15th August 2002, his first posting was at River state Command after which he was posted as O/C surveillance SCID River state. In 2004 to 2006 he served at Bauchi Police station
