To ensure that the women of Ikeduru Local Government Area, Imo state celebrate the Mother’s Sunday gloriously, the Publisher of News Echo Newspaper and News Insider Magazine, Chief, Sir. Chimezie Anosike Kingsley, (Ebubemba Ikeduru) has doled out gift items to the mothers of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Uzoagba, during their Mother’s day celebration last Sunday.

He supported the women by sponsoring the bible quiz with a sum of two hundred and fifty thousand naira. He also sponsored the program of the church and provided food and drinks for the women of the church.
The Publisher while speaking to our correspondent said that the reason he had chosen wrappers to be given to every woman in the church was because of the pains mothers go through in training their children, especially those who used their wrappers to wrap their kids as a form of diapers.
Ebubemba Ikeduru as he is fondly called wanted the women to feel special and never to forget the Mother’s day because it was the best Mother’s Sunday in the history of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Uzoagba. He urged the mothers to continue to be the good mothers they are, as according to him, their effort in sustaining humanity will not be forgotten.

The wife of the Archdeacon, St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Uzoagba, and Mrs. Pauline Akahara has charged women to imbibe good virtues as they celebrate their mother’s Sunday.
She hinted that the mothering Sunday was a day set aside to appreciate the works of the beautiful mothers all over the world.
She continued that mothers were always special no matter how old they are. They always love you unconditionally. She also charged the children ‘to always make their mothers feel special, while calling all God fearing mothers who in one way or the other have touched life positively not to relent.

Mother’s Sunday is an annual event that is celebrated on the 4th Sunday of lent, which is the only historic occasion that takes place in the throes of the Lenten season, is marked in commemoration of pivotal role of Christian mothers in the family, church and society at large. Awards were presented to men and women in appreciation of their selfless services, their efforts towards the upliftment of the church and their contribution towards the advancement of human capital development. These included Mr. Charles Anosike as Golden Son, Dame Hon. Grace Oye as Peculiar mother, Lady Helen Asoluka as Peculiar Mother and many others.
