The IPOB leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has sensationally revealed that no matter the odds and challenges, the proposed Eastern Security Network would be fully operational.
Speaking to his audience during one of his regular Radio Biafra outings last Sunday, the Biafran agitator gave indications why South East must embrace the security outfit. According to him, Nigeria is a country of regions. He pointed out that the Hausa/Fulani dominated north had employed the herdsmen as their security guards just as the Yoruba had launched the Amotekun outfit as their security outfit. Therefore, he said, Ndigbo have no other option than to adopt the Eastern Security Network as their watchdog.
Kanu lamented that it was appalling that Igbo people were no longer as assiduous in thinking and in action as the used to be all the way from 1940 till 1980. He wondered why the Igbo seem to be afraid of defending themselves when there were overwhelming evidences that the Fulani herdsmen had concluded arrangements on how to take over the entire country, particularly the South East. He reminded Ndigbo of the age long Igbo axiom which states that anybody surrounded by the enemy must always guard his life judiciously.
On a final note, Kanu called on the governors of the South East not to always be Hausa/Fulani stooges at the detriment of their subjects. He urged the youths to always be mindful of their future by not compromising on anything that would be detrimental to Ndigbo.
