A renowned technocrat and PDP presidential hopeful Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa has stated that Nigeria lacks the ability to implement policies, and decisions which has impeded the country’s faster development.
The presidential aspirant of the party Mazi Ohuabunwa made this known when he visited the meeting of Board of Trustees and National Electoral Commission of the Peoples Democratic Party which was held at Wadata Plaza, Abuja and made available through his facebook handle where he was captured exchanging pleasantries and interacting with party leaders and officials present.
Among the key leaders of the party who warmly received him were: Alhaji Walid Jibrin (BOT Chair), Senator Adol Wabara (BOT Sec), Senator Samuel Anyanwu (National Sec), Alhaji Arapaja (Deputy Chairman, South), Senator Philip Aduda (FCT), Sen Mao Ohuabunwa, HE Celestine Omehia, HE Chief Jim Nwobodo, HE Achike Udenwa.
Presenting his manifesto to the legislators, Ohuabunwa said practical ideas conceived for effective rebuilding of the Nigerian State, which involves making the country globally competitive in sectoral development and positioned for rapid transformation through adequate consultations and proper planning is all Nigerians need.
“The old Nigeria is no longer working. We want a country that can work for the North, South, East and West. A country that can work for the poor, and for the rich. The one that works for the strong and the weak; the male and the female; for the able and for the disabled. It is a Nigeria that we will collectively call our own”, he said.
Mazi Ohuabunwa frowned at the way Nigeria is going presently, contending that the country is in dire need of someone who has character and administrative competency to make a difference between the old and the new ways of running government in the country.
“I have come to conclusion that our country is not short of knowledge. What is wrong with Nigeria is the ability to implement. This is because, there is lack of visionary leadership in certain aspects of our national endeavor in constant manner for many years. We seem to be a country that moves two steps forward, and go backward, four steps” he noted.
Interestingly, the front line presidential aspirant has really demonstrated optimism in correcting the ills of maladministration. “Leadership that is enlightened; leadership that is competent; leadership that is visionary; leadership that is of good character; and leadership that is courageous,” he said.
