Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers (CHAPOL), with National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Anambra State Command, have assured the citizens of effective synergy with the Anambra State Comptroller of Correctional Services in combating the rising case of moral decadence in the state.

The State Commandant of CHAPOL, Commandant Joseph Ekwunife
stated this during a courtesy call to the Anambra State Comptroller of Correctional Services, Barrister Emmanuel Nwakeze and his NDLEA counterpart, Muhammad Misbahu Idris.

Speaking during the visits, the Anambra State Commandant of CHAPOL, Commandant Ekwunife harped on the need for effective synergy among the three agencies to achieve a common goal, while adding that their visit was to seek support and collaboration.

Acknowledging CHAPOL as one of the legacies of Obiano led administration to schools through the Commissioner for Basic Education, Professor Kate Omenugha, he however, lauded the efforts of the state government and Commissioner for Basic Education for providing enabling environment which has yielded positive results for the greater good of the State.

In their separate responses, the Comptroller of Prisons, Anambra State Command, Barrister Nwakeze and the Anambra State NDLEA Commander, Mr. Idris, while commending the group for its great commitment towards building a better society, assured of their unflinching support to enthrone a crime-free Anambra State.

They expressed optimism that their collaboration will mitigate moral decadence among the young ones, especially in secondary schools, and by extension curb crimes and make the society more peaceful.
