Anambra State command of the Chaplain Corps Policing Explorers, CHAPOL, has held the passing out and commissioning ceremony of its trained 28 cadet officers.

The ceremony which held weekend, at the Igwebuike Grammar School field, Awka, had representative of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC; security agencies, education stakeholders and the clergy among others.
Addressing the officers, the Chairman, Post Primary School Service Commission, PPSSC, Lady Ify Okaro, said the group has been working hard in entrenching moral rectitude in the lives of Anambra youths and encouraged them to remain determined in such voluntary vocation.

Okaro, represented by her deputy, Lady Pat Ofia, said the training was aimed at strengthening the command’s operations in schools. She pleaded with affluent individuals in the state to assist the group.

In his speech, the state Commander, FRSC, Mr. Andrew Kumapayi, represented by the deputy corps commander, Christy Obasi, charged the officers to be courageous in their selfless service.

Commissioning the new cadets, the presiding Bishop, Life of Faith Gospel Assembly, Nkwelle Ezunaka, Rt. Rev. Emma Obiora, said any voluntary service to humanity is a loan to God with better reward and not award.

Earlier in his address, the state Commandant, CHAPOL, Joseph Ekwunife, whose address was read by the command director media and publicity, Miss Joy Otuokere, said the command will continue to do its part in curbing moral decadence, reinforcing good morals and ethical standards and making schools safe again for the students, teachers and parents.
