The Commissioner for information, and culture, Prince Okey Kanu revealed this while speaking to Journalists at the end of the weekly Executive Council meeting at government house, Umuahia.
Kanu revealed that the current administration is ready to explore the minerals numbering 17 which include copper, limestone, gold, phosphate, coal among others to create investment opportunities and jobs for the teeming youths.
He listed the LGAs were the natural resources were discovered to include Arochukwu, Ohafia, Bende, Umuahia North and Umuahia South.
The Commissioner also said that rich natural resources were found in
Ikwuano, Umunnochi, Ukwa East , Isuikwuato LGAs among others.
He said the exploration will also create job opportunities as it is poised to make use of social equity in her relationship with the communities involved.
