The speaker, who is also the patroness of the association, and wife of the Rector of the institution, identified four forms of anti-social acts that women must avoid in order to assert themselves positively and purposefully in the society. These acts included violence, immorality, social exclusion and human trafficking, among others. The varsity don frowned at the complicity of women in these acts when they had a choice to be instruments of social cohesion.

To this end, she challenged women of the polytechnic to devise practicable pedagogies that would assist the society eradicate illiteracy, adding that women were better equipped and positioned for the task.

The erudite scholar enjoined women to be prayerful at all times, stressing that a prayerful woman would always be a victorious person. With prayer, according to the speaker, women could attain their full potentials while remaining focused and resilient in their goals.
