Private schools operating at Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State, have appealed to the state government for assistance.

Chairman, National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Ohaji/Egbema chapter, Obiri Nathaniel Uche, made the appeal when NAPPS visited the Managing Director of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC), Chief Charles Orie, in his office in Owerri on Tuesday.

Obiri called for a synergy with ISOPADEC for the development and growth of private schools in the area.
The association enumerated its priority needs as scholarship opportunities, bus, a befitting office and educational materials for pupils and students.

NAPPS commended Orie for awarding scholarship to students of Ohaji/Egbema, while congratulating him on his appointment as Managing Director of ISOPADEC, adding that his elevation to political stardom was a testimony of his ingenuity and quest for even development of Ohaji/Egbema and Imo State in general.
Welcoming the association, the Managing Director of ISOPADEC, Chief Charles Orie, assured them of cooperation, stressing that he will always intercede on their behalf.
