The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has announced a two weeks extension for candidates to complete their registration.
In a communiqué issued at the end of a two day meeting in Abuja, JAMB said the registration exercise will end on May 29.

The Board also said the 2021 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, and Direct Entry, earlier slated for June 3 will now commence from June 19 to July 3, while the Mock UTME earlier scheduled for 20th May will now hold on June 3.

The communiqué read by the Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede, said only one million, one hundred and thirty-four thousand, four hundred and twenty-four UTME and Direct Entry candidates have so far been registered.

He said the decisions were taken to afford prospective candidates more time to complete their registration for the 2021 UTME and Direct Entry, adding that the Board will dispatch monitoring teams to all States of the Federation and the FCT during the extension period.
