To strengthen viable communication, public relations, operations, management and public education for more academic success and moral excellence at Federal Polytechnic Nekede, the management of the institution has said that it will partner with Opinion Research and Communication for optimal result.
The Rector of the institution, Engr. Chidiebere Michael Arimanwa, disclosed this while addressing the Opinion Research and Communication team who paid a courtesy visit on the school on Monday.
Arimanwa, who said that the school and Opinion Research are partners in progress, noted that the school needs external body to escalate the activities and achievements which were unbeatably electrifying. He noted that they have actually achieved a lot which were not duly escalated, adding that JAMB rated the institution “Most Sought After Polytechnic across the federation”.
“We want to welcome you and trust that our partnership with you will be mutual. “Federal Polytechnic Nekede tends to have international students and if we do the work of public relations properly we will be able to attract international students and lecturers as it was in the past days. “Our students and graduates are doing well internally and externally because of quality education which the institution is known for”, the Rector stressed.
Earlier in his remarks, Dr. Chuks Osuji, who led the Opinion Research and Communication team on the visit explained that the purpose of the August visit was to seek thorough partnership with Federal Polytechnic Nekede on major areas of need such as operations, public relations, viable communications, management and public education for enhanced academics for even development. Osuji noted that Opinion Research and Communication is a consortium of public relations, communication, management and public education professionals founded forty one years ago.
Osuji added that “there is no doubt that currently, Federal Polytechnic Nekede has a hardworking public relations department which has been doing an impressive job.
In her contribution, the Deputy Rector Academics of the institution, Mrs. Antonina Nwosu, who said the visit by Opinion Research and Communication was a privilege, posited that it would yield tangible result that will benefit both parties.
