The Imeobi Igbo Forum, a pan socio-cultural organization has expressed confidence in the Governor-elect, Professor Charles Soludo saying that it is time for Anambra State to set the pace in Nigeria.
Imeobi Igbo forum also advised Soludo not to be distracted by political jobbers and hangers on if he must realize his plans and aspirations for Ndi Anambra as expressed in his campaign manifesto.
In a congratulatory press release signed by the National Chairman, Dr. Mike Ikegulu and Secretary, Barrister Chibuike Nwabueze the Forum declared solidarity with the former Central Bank, Governor.
“Ndi Anambra have made their choice. We are in solidarity with you, Professor Charles Soludo in your well deserved victory.We heartily congratulate you.”
“Anambra State as the heart of Igbo nation and light of Nigeria Nation is expected to lead and set the pace.”
“Your Dubai-Taiwan transformation of Anambra State can be possible if you put your mind to it without the usual distractions of political jobbers and hangers-on.”
“It is not going to be easy but build on what remains of the foundation laid by previous administrations. ‘Chukwuokike Ndigbo’ being on your side, you will succeed.”
The organization further urged Soludo to accommodate everyone to move the state forward.
“We also urged all those who are aggrieved by the outcome of the election to sheath their swords and work with Soludo for the greater good of Anambra and Ndigbo in general,” it stated.
