Family circle: WE ARE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

Every human being is created for a purpose and it is important to move towards it. For anybody to achieve God’s awesome purpose in life, that person must be focused and determined to do the will of God. In our individual endeavor in life, there is need for us to know the actual thing God wants from us. We are all created for an impact. So check around you, are you making an impact in your husband’s life, in your wife’s life and by extension in your neighborhood. Is God happy that He created somebody like you. Are you giving God reasons to say indeed this is my beloved child. Does God smile because of you? My brethren, if your life is putting smiles in God’s mouth, you are a gracious child of God.

Because we’re the light of the world, people see God through our characters and behaviors. It is proper we live as God approves. This will enable us to be happy persons wherever we see ourselves. My beloved, nothing gives joy and happiness more than living a fulfilled life. What do I mean by that, living a fulfilled life is when you’re in close relationship with Christ. Don’t try to be like Mr. A or Mr. B. Be yourself. You are unique created to make wonders. That’s why we should be able to know the will of God for our lives. Why do you wish to be like that man or that woman? Remember you are specially made, therefore no need for comparison. Whatever you want to do in life, liaise with God, tell God, our Father, everything, nothing is too small to tell Him. He is all ears. God is so interested to know our ways in life. All your plans and projects in life should be presented to God for approval. Surely his will is the best so let us not ignore the importance of God’s existence. Remember God created us to know Him, to worship him here on earth so as to live with him in glory in heaven forever and ever, Amen.

Therefore, let us rely on God’s decree and never to depend on our own. Truly, we are nothing without Christ so in that case, let us know that for God to be close to us, we ought to do his will. Naturally, you will see some people when they pray and the prayer was not answered, they will forget that it is for the will of God. Every disappoint before us is indeed for God’s will and if we can calm down and wait for him, in the end we will be able to know that indeed, it is for our own good. You will see someone who travelled abroad, and another man will begin to do a visa to travel abroad, did you consult your God, l mean our Lord Jesus to know whether it is his will. My dear do not do things because others did, everyone has a special destiny in life. That’s why it’s so so important to be close to God so that he will direct our footsteps and heart desires without struggles.

One man once said that life is not balance. And l believe him. Sometimes what gives others joy saddens another. Let me tell us a little story that summarizes the imbalance of this life. A woman one day while coming back from school run drove passed a Rev. Sister. And immediately this woman saw the Rev. Sister, she started complaining and murmuring saying, “How l wish am this Rev. Sister who did not marry, see how she’s enjoying her life, and am here suffering in the name of marriage”.

And from the other quarter, the Rev. Sister when she saw the woman with her children also complained and said, “how she wished she got married “see how this woman is enjoying herself with her family and am here all alone in the name of I am a Rev. Sister”. Oh my world! l laugh, like seriously l laugh. Indeed the life we are into is not balance at all.

That’s the more reason we should not compare ourselves with anyone. That person you wish to be like is busy trying to be like another person. Hence the Igbo adage that says, Uwa ezuoke. The Lord our God, the holy one of Israel has promised us to be patient in all situations. He promised to give us honour and glory, all we need to do is to turn to the Lord and pray to him now that he is near.

And it is pertinent to state that we should not frustrate the grace of God in our lives. You will see some people intentionally sinning against God and saying God is a merciful God, after l will go and ask for forgiveness. You are not doing yourself any good. The life we are enjoying does not belong to us and we do not know the time and hour the owner takes it. So it is right to always be in a right standing with God anytime, any day because we’re just visitors here on earth. And one day, just one day we shall all go to give account of our life here on earth.

God is merciful and quick to forgive. So as the light of the world, let us show mercy where needed and forgive others unconditionally. Infact, prayer make things that are impossible in the eyes of men to be possible. Prayer will diligently change every negative character in you and you will become a new creature. And people around you will testify and say truly you are a child of God.

Finally, as we have seen ourselves as the light of the world, the benefits we are to encounter comes from God which include, our enablement to enjoy good health, the grace to have blessed friends, our families loved, our finances multiply, our pains become less and our worries disappear and we shall see with our own eyes that we are blessed!!!!.
