This message was given to me on Sunday, 20th February, 2022 on my way to fellowship. One of my brothers joyfully told me that he thanks God for blessing him with a car. And he concluded by saying that “If God had not blessed him that way, by giving him a car of his own, he won’t have been happier as he is today”. And l picked it up from there. And since then l would remind God that though am older than the brother, yet l walk bare-footed everyday serving Him. So, on that Sunday afternoon, l was walking to church fellowship and l prayed, My Lord, in my late forties, my husband has no car and l personally have no car, oh Lord, l don’t know about my future but you know.
Even if am not going to owe a car of my own, please God bless my children so much that they will be wealthy enough to have their own cars, l continued, if my children are car owners, l am also. And immediately l got this message saying, “My daughter l have not finished with you”, Odogwu Akataga!!!. l believe God, yes l believe God’s word. He does not change from His promises. The world possessions are good and fantastic but the best is having Christ together with them all.
We know that God’s goodness does not correspond with our deeds. It is not because of our holiness and uprightness that make God to bless us. God says, “I have taken away your sins and you shall work for me”. God’s calling is different and when He calls one, He will qualify him or her because He is the one that called him. God’s ways are quite different from the ways of men. In life, grace differs.
Always listen to the inner voice of God and follow His commands. Never you try to imitate or copy the next person around you. Be yourself always. Every one of us are created for a purpose, and for one to realize his or her purpose in life, you must be in Christ Jesus. I say it again and again, there is nothing we can do in life without Jesus Christ. Unless Christ comes in our lives, in vain we do things. Perseverance is the key.
Patience is always the key to our success. Wait upon the Lord, He has the final say. Experiences in life have taught me that in vain the security guards the city. So whatever we do in life without putting Jesus first amounts to nothing. What efforts do you put in the things of God. This is because God will always meet us at the place of our work, of our prayer and service to His things. Therefore, let us learn to do those things that please and glorifies God alone.
We should allow the spirit of faith to direct our ways believing tomorrow is better. Remember what our Lord says, He is not through with us yet. He has not finished with us because we’re still alive.
Our faith in God will not be disgraced and our obedience to the word of God shall not be in vain in Jesus Name, Amen. In 2nd Timothy Chapter 1 verse 7 says, “God has not given His children the spirit of fear or to be timid but power, love and self-control”. The spirit of fear is a voice from the devil, our enemy. While the spirit of faith is a voice from God telling us to be firm and strong. Let us be conscious of the voice that comes from the evil one and be mindful of our actions.
The moment we begin to consider the voice of the evil one, the spirit of fear will grip us and when it comes, it will take us to No.18 and if care is not taken, one will eventually enter a goal because one is already on No.18 and the goal will be against the will of God. Please my brethren, let us not allow the things we see today to take away our salvation tomorrow.
Whatever sacrifice we made in the things of God will never go unrewarded. So we should not allow fear to take hold of us rather we should believe in God through faith. There is an envelope of succour beyond explanation waiting for us. And l decree upon our lives today that men and angels will celebrate us soon, Amen. There is no one or thing higher than God. He is higher than the highest. When you trust in God you will be able to know that He is working behind the scenes to bring us victory that no man gives.
Cast all your worries, anxieties once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and He also cares about you watchfully. GOD does not suffer the righteous to be moved. Though our physical eyes cannot see what He is doing at such times, but our faith is the evidence of things not seen. Therefore, let us be people of faith, courage and determination. And learn from our past mistakes.
Fight against the spirit of procrastination. This is because God can only continue what you begin. Procrastination is the thief of destinies. Child of God, no man, no woman, no circumstance or event can stop what God has written and spoken concerning you.
I tell you, no evil gathering of the night or day can determine your destiny.
Oh my goodness, when things are tough and tough and loneliness sets in or when you are falsely accused and misunderstood by men, just believe that no man’s judgement, opinion or view on your life and family can ever determine your tomorrow. Remember our topic, “He has not finished with us”, indeed God is yet to finish with us. Stop crying! Stop condemning yourself!! Stop murmuring on that ugly situation!!! Stop fearing that man/woman. Your destiny is not in his/her hands. Stop wasting your life daily trying very hard to please men that do not care for your existence. It’s only your God that knows the size, the shape and the colour of the key of your life.
In Proverbs Chapter 4 verse 18, God makes us to know that, “The road the righteous travel is like the sunrise getting brighter and brighter until daylight has come”. It doesn’t matter how long that miracle takes to manifest in your life. What matters is that, it will surely come to pass; because it has been written. The promise from Proverbs is for the children of God. Apply self discipline and maximize what you have.
Explore the good things in your life and let praise always be in your mouth. There is this song l love so much, it says, ‘ Ma odinma, ma odi njo, Chibuchim ooo’. In doing so, our path will continue to shine and shine to the perfect day. Therefore my beloved in the Lord, as we determine to wait upon the Lord, let us continue to do good to both our friends and our enemies, for in such deeds, our Father in heaven will be able to bring us out from the crowd and pour on us the glory that shines and shines like a morning star.
Shalom.
