The member representing Owerri Federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon Engr Ikenna Elezianya has given back to the constituents through the 3rd phase of his empowerment which took place in Owerri Imo state.
The lawmaker while addressing the constituents disclosed that it’s his mandate to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people who voted him in office.
The lawmaker who has several projects to his credit maintained that he understands the heartbeat of the people and feels the impact of the economic situation on the masses hence the need to alleviate their plight through the empowerment project.
Over 33 mini buses and cash were distributed to the LGA party executives, the ward chairmen and the ward statutory delegates respectively.
Further speaking, Elezianya who is a member of the people’s Democratic party, PDP reminded the constituents of the massive projects and programmes embarked by the him for the federal constituency thereby urging them to ensure the party wins in the forthcoming election.
“We must reclaim our mandate, Imolites will suffer if PDP fails to win 2023 election” he said
He also used the opportunity to do an official commissioning of a 6 classroom block project in Uzii primary school Owerri, this he said is to assist the primary Education system tackle the growing population of pupils without much classrooms to cater for it.
He stated that the next phase of empowerment will be all encompassing as everybody will be captured and promised to continue to do more to reciprocate the gesture of electing him to represent the people.
One of the beneficiaries of a mini bus, Mr Osuji Sampson, Chairman Azuzi ward 2 expressed delight over the empowerment as he stated that this is the first of it’s kind, he disclosed that the bus will assist him in so many aspects, and prayed God to sustain the effort of the lawmaker.
Also speaking, Decaoness Ijeoma Ndubueze Ukasanya from New Owerri ward maintained that the lawmaker has done alot to earn him second term in office and urge him not to relent in his efforts in ensuring a quality representation.
