The Nigeria Union of journalists (NUJ), Imo State council has condoled with the family of late Sunny Ejiogu who will be interned on Friday, 21st May.
Late sunny Ejiogu before his death was a journalist who contributed his quota to the development of the society.
He worked at National Question, the Democrat and later became a contributor at Newspoint newspapers. Late Sunny Ejiogu was the secretary of the credential committee in 2014.
In a release signed by the Chairman, Imo NUJ Caretaker Committee and Secretary General, Comrade Precious Nwadike and Comrade Austin Okoro respectively, it noted, “It is with deep sense of grief but with gratitude to God for a life well lived, that we the members of Imo NUJ Caretaker Committee write to condole with you on the death of your dear husband, Late Comrade Chief Sunny Ejiogu.
“Sunny was a devoted Journalist, devout Christian and a community leader, who lived a life of honesty, integrity and hard work”.
The release hinted that he will be remembered for his good works, exemplary qualities and positive legacies, while praying for the repose of his soul.
The union committed the entire family to the special grace and comfort of the Lord.
His remains will arrive NUJ press centre on Friday 21st May by 7:30am for journalists to pay him last respect, after which the remains will proceed to Ohii, Owerri west his hometown for funeral service and internment.
The release urged all members of NUJ to come out en-masse to honour their departed colleague.
