The Global President, Recreation Club Orlu, Engr. Achilike Onyeka O’Bright, has said the standard swimming pool, which was single-handedly built by a member of the club, Chief Paulinus Chukwudi Emeka, will boost the morale of members of the club to fully indulge in sports to keep fit always.
He stated this during the official opening of the Swimming Pool on Thursday at Orlu, Imo State.
The President, who noted that the club was founded in 1930 by the Colonial Masters and District Officers who came to Orlu and Okigwe to promote longevity and fitness, thanked the donor for his contributions to the growth of the club, describing him as a patriotic member and philanthropist who has helped a lot of people especially orphans and youths who are today making well and contributing to the society.
Achilike also appreciated the leadership of the club for positively lifting the club, adding that his leadership would continue to unite the club to advance healthy life and relaxation among members.
Felicitating with the donor, Hon Ikechukwu Igboanu Igbokwe, Nze Dirichukwu O’dirichukwu, Sir IKC Amaraeze, prayed to God to continue to bless him as he does more charity to the less-privileged.
The donor, Emeka, who was conferred with the Grand Patron of Prestigious Club Orlu, promised to do more goodies to help advance the club and humanity.
