NSCDC, FRSC to partner against road accidents in Anambra State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Anambra State Command and Federal Road Safety Corps ( FRSC) Anambra Sector Command have pledged to join forces to put an end to the problems caused on the roads in Anambra State as a result of frequent auto crashes.

This commitment was made when the State Commandant of NSCDC Anambra State Command, Comdt. David Bille on Thursday received in audience the newly deployed Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, RS 5.3 Anambra Sector Command, Adeoye A. Irelewuyi, at the State Command Headquarters Awka.

While addressing the State Commandant, the FRSC Boss stated that the essence of the visit was to seek areas of collaboration as government agencies in achieving more effective result and to condole with the Command on the loss of two personnel who were recently killed by yet to be identified gunmen at Nneyi Umueri Anambra East LGA of the State.

He appreciated the Corps for supporting FRSC saying that his leadership would work hand in hand with NSCDC in the state to achieve more meaningful results. Corps Commander, Adeoye harped on the need for more partnership to ensure protection of lives and properties on the highway.

In his remarks, Bille who was highly elated by the visit of the newly deployed Sector Commander echoed that inter-agency relation was necessary to achieve maximum security for the people.
He assured him of the Command’s readiness to provide all the necessary support and cooperation whilst conducting their assigned tasks.
