The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Dr. Paulinus Ezeokafor has indicated his support on Southern Governors on recent measures taken to stem the tide of insecurity in the regions.
New Echo reports that seventeen Southern Governors recently met in Asaba, Delta State capital, where they took far-reaching decisions to contain issues fueling insecurity in the regions, including ban on open grazing.
Speaking at a Eucharistic celebration in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Council Area, Bishop Ezeokafor, who noted that the decisions and measures were long overdue called for the full and speedy implementation of the strategies mapped out. He commended Governor Obiano for his practical solutions to security challenges in the State, urging him not to relent.
While calling on the Federal Government to show commitment in addressing insecurity and other issues impeding Nigeria development as the giant of Africa. The Catholic Bishop however reminded those reaping from the present situation in the country to amend their ways and work towards the greater good of Nigeria.
