The General Overseer of the Overcomers Christians Mission Aladimma Owerri Bishop Francisca Ezeugo has commended the Imo state governor Senator Hope Uzodimma for sponsoring hundreds of Imo state pilgrims Jerusalem.
Speaking to Newsmen in her office, Bishop Ezeugo expressed delight over the kind gesture displayed by the state governor to them. She noted that the journey to Holy land has strengthened her faith and belief in God and made her know that the experiences recorded in the Bible were not ferry tales.
She noted that pilgrimage is an experience that every Christian needs to have to strengthen their faith and prepare them for heaven. She explained that such experience should bring peace and unity in the state and among the Christian folk.
She narrated her experiences at the different sites visited and maintained that the things written in the bible are not mere fiction. She also seized the opportunity commended the choice of the governor in choosing a woman as his running mate in the Nov 11 Imo guber election and stated that the introduction of a woman as a deputy governor is quite commendable and will impact positively on governance.
