Religious leaders have been charged to practise what they preach while upholding truth and righteousness.
Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Imo State chapter, Rev Eches Divine Eches, gave the charge during a multiple thanksgiving service, held at the CAN Center, Owerri, on Thursday.

Eches reminded religious leaders of the need to continue to speak the truth while shunning idle talk in order not to mislead the people.

He made a personal pledge to always speak the truth, which described as a divine mandate.
“Knowing the truth is what we were called to do”, Eches submitted.
He thanked the Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prof. Placid Njoku; ECWA General Secretary, Rev. Yunusa S. Nmadu Jnr and others for gracing the event which he described as memorable.
