A group under the aegies of Ndigbo United Progressive Assembly has called on former People’s Democratic Party candidate, and an ardent pentecostal member, Dr..Godwin Maduka to take the lead as the next Anambra governor come November 6th election.
Briefing newsmen during the group’s endorsement in Awka, the National Chairman, Prince Bartho Igwedibia said the group has decided to align with Dr. Maduka as the substantial candidate to govern Anambra state.
“We put out search light to all the political party aspirants because we are seriously concerned about Anambra and we need a very solid meaningful personality that will face these challenges for our yet unborn children”.
“NUPA chose Dr. Godwin Maduka Okosisi Ndigbo becuase he can do more. If he can turn Umuchukwu as a city and build a gigantic building for Anambra judiciary. He also built over two thousand houses for poor people in the state. He is the person that built St. Jude Pro-Cathedral, Immaculate Conception Church and Trinity Hospital, all in Umuchukwu, his home town. Such qualify works are lacking and we need them in the state”.
“Anambra state needs a pentecostal governor which NUPA has seen in him. All these made us to take the bull by the horn to support him for the betterment of Anambra state”.
Prince Igwedibia further noted that churches like the Anglicans and Catholics should allow the politics of this state because they are bastardsizing the future of the state. “so we need a free pentecostal governor to liberate the people from the shackles of poverty. All churches should be given equal right.
NUPA came into existence in 2014. one of the missions and objectives of NUPA is basically on good governance. Our past governors did well but it is not enough. So we need such a man who has the international experience and connection to rule Anambra state”.
