INEC to test-run BVAS via mock accreditation on Saturday

Resident Electoral Commissioner, Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Imo State, Prof. Sylva Uchenna Agu, says INEC has concluded plans to conduct mock accreditation exercise using the BVAS on Saturday across the country.

The Commissioner noted that the exercise will take place at the designated polling units from 8 am.

This was disclosed by the commission in a statement written and made available to the media by its Public Relations Officer, Chinyere Chijioke- Osuji, on Monday.

INEC urged eligible voters to ensure they take part in the exercise which will be to the advantage of the society.

According to the release, “I am directed by the Resident Electoral Commissioner (INEC), Imo State, Prof. Sylvia Uchenna Agu, to inform you about the nationwide mock accreditation of voters exercise using BVAS holding on Saturday, 4th February, 2023, from 8 am. This exercise shall hold in the attached Polling Units and LGAs respectively”.

The commission stated that the designated polling units in Imo State include Owerri West LGA: Emeabiam/Umuokolochi (Community Primary School, Okolochi 1), Irete/Orogwe (Uba Village Square). Ikeduru LGA: Iho (Central School Iho), Amaimo (Community School Obodo). Obowo LGA: Alike (Primary School Ikenanzizi), Okenalogho (Umuagu Hall). Okigwe LGA: Umualumuoke (Umualumoke Community School), Ogii (Ogii Central School. Nkwerre LGA: Onusa (Aghazie Hall), Eziama Obaire ( Ndimbra Hall). Ideato South LGA: Ntueke (Umunze Village Square) and Ogboko 2 (Ekenta Market Square).
