Highlight On The Blueprint Of His Total Transformation agenda For Ndi Anambra
The Governorship ambition of Chief Jude C. Ezenwafor, to tackle the numerous economic problems facing Anambra State top notch to his agenda.
Ezenwafor who spoke on 23rd April, 2025 through the PDP Zonal Director, Hon Nwafor listed some of these challenges as;
SECURITY – The assurance of security of life and property is to improve the internal and external investment climate. Security is seen as not only a constitutional requirement but also a necessary infrastructure for the development of New Anambra. Security issue is the primary focus and all the 3 senatorial district will have a well structured security apparatus to ensure safety of all residents/ communities in the state
POWER AND ENERGY – The infrastructural reforms in the power sector would aim at the development of sufficient and adequate power supply to ensure Anambra’s ability to compete as a modern economy and achieve full industrialization by the year 2032. We will declare State of emergency on the power sector and ensure residents of the state ensure 24 hours power supply daily on a subsidized rate.
INFRASTRUCTURE- The infrastructural reform is the need to move from an extractive industry to ICT (Information and Communication Technology). The aim is to free resource currently deployed through joint venture cash calls for development of the social sector institutions especially deploying new technologies to manage our security, Health and Oil & Gas.
FOOD SECURITY – Food reforms is primarily agrarian based Anambra State , anchored on the desire for wealth creation in order to make a shift from the undue emphasis on oil and gas. Our focus would be on the development of modern technology, research, production and the development of agricultural inputs. This is expected to revolutionalise the agricultural sector leading to a 5-10 fold increase in yield, food production and preservation; curb food wastage and ensure full availability throughout farming season, we will use mechanized industrialization of the agricultural sector to boost food security in Anambra State within 24 months of assumption of office.
WEALTH CREATION – By virtue of its reliance on revenue from non-renewal oil, Anambra is yet to develop industrial capacity. This reform is focused on wealth creation through the diversification of production, especially, in the agricultural, ICT and solid mineral sub-sectors in all the 21 Local government of the state.
TRANSPORT SECTOR – The transport sector in Nigeria, characterized by poor state and network of roads is an inefficient means of mass transportation of people and goods from remote villages to township, we will ensure access roads to all communities connecting them to the City Centres and deploying CNG vehicles to reduce cost.
EDUCATION – The two-fold reforms in the educational sector is to ensure the minimum acceptable international standards of education for all. With that achieved, a strategic educational development plan will ensure excellence in both the tutoring and learning of skills in science and technology by students who will be seen as the future innovators and industrialists of Anambra. This reform will be achieved through massive injection of both funds and human capital into the Education sector.
HEALTH – Primary HealthCare delivery in Anambra State is sacrosanct to drastically increase life span and reduce infant mortality rate among nursing Mothers through Mother&Child Care Initiative. We will standardize all the primary healthcare centres in different communities to make health Care delivery accessible to the people on affordable rate.
WAGES AND WORKERS REMUNERATION: – The highlight on the transformation of Anambra State under his leadership, chief Jude will ensure his commitment to workers welfare and timely payment of salaries, Pensions and Gratuity to all the retirees of the state, if elected governor on 8th November, 2025.
Our transformation agenda will be Tactful, Purposeful and Results driven to meet global standard of development and industrial revolution in our beloved State, especially now that globalization is fast emerging in different States of the federation.
