The cleric who correctly predicted the current situations in Imo State since last year, Prophet Chisom Ekwonna is at it again. Speaking to News Echo, he made the following predictions in relation to the prevalent insecurity
“I see better days ahead of Imo but not under Uzodimma. God has seen the afflictions of Imolites. I see uncontrollable crisis in Nigeria, another heavy protest more than EndSARS in almost all states in the country. Anger, resulting to hunger as a result of famine and killings of innocent people will precipitate the crises.’’
He urged that those who can pray should pray and those who don’t know should learn it, adding that “serious prayers of Nigerians needed for President Muhammadu Buhari to complete his tenure”
He said; “God is very angry with corrupt politicians. Blood of uniform men killed for guiding and protecting them are crying before God.
When their widows cry in agony it makes God very angry. Politicians should amend their ways to minimize the ongoing killings.
In few months from now divine judgment is coming on corrupt cabal ruling the country and corrupt judges as crime and injustices have built warehouses in our nation. Uzodimma is like Jonah in Buhari’s boat or administration, if he is not thrown away the Federal Government will collapse. God will reconcile with his old friends-the military to collapse the government.”
On the long drawn battle that has raged endlessly in Imo (Okigwe) North senatorial zone, he had this to say:
“Ibezim is going to the senate to clean Araraume’s seat. Those close to him should tell him not to go for thanksgiving. If he ignores it, this will double his punishment from God. I insist that Araraume is the senator for Okigwe Zone’’
On a note of commendation for the president, the Amaigbo born prophet stated that one of the best things that ever came from Buhari is his choice of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) chairman.
In his words, “one of the best appointments ever from President Muhammadu Buhari is that of the EFCC chairman. It is merited though corrupt men are preparing against him but I will stand for him in prayers.’’
Ekwonna disagreed vehemently with Primate Ayodele of Lagos prediction on the return of Gov Emeka Ihedioha as the governor of Imo State. According to him, “Ihedioha’s return is impossible. I had earlier predicted and still insisting that the man who will govern and reposition Imo under the 2019 election has no ticket. He is an APC man from Owerri. APC will not lose Imo.
The prophet who has kept hitting the bulls eye recalled his earlier warning to Orlu Zone candidates especially Hope Uzodimma and Uche Nwosu that Douglas House will not accommodate any Orlu zone candidate. When asked why he took this position he responded thus, “I see an angry lion waiting to devour anybody from there who goes in under the 2019 election that is not from Owerri Zone. It must be an Owerri indigene”
Continuing he said, “I heard a voice saying that I will overturn and overturn until it gets to the hands of the rightful owner-an Owerri indigene. Problem of Nigerian leaders especially in Imo is their inability to listen to the word of God. Proverb 30:17. “The eyes that mock the father, that scorns obedience to mother will be packed by ravens of the valley, will be eaten by the vulture.
“Again Proverb 29:1, “a man who remains who stiff necked after many rebukes will suddenly be destroyed without remedy. I did my best to reveal the mind of God to Imo leaders from Owelle Rochas Okorocha to Uzodimma.
I told Okorocha that he will make a mistake that will destroy his political career adopting Uche Nwosu his in-law to succeed him, that is the root of the problem that is experienced in Imo now. Ihedioha; I told him never to play with prophecy and if he does he will regret it. Uzodimma; I told him that he is just a fore runner to the coming governor of Imo, advised him to use the shortest time to make name for himself. All these were ignored by them.
I told him to resign honourably that 85% of Imo will turn against him, that Imo will be one of the leading states in crime. (Newsbreak newspaper, May 25, 2020)
On Gov. Nyesom Wike, he advised that his sympathizers should pray for him against loss of a family member. The local government elections in Rivers State might open door for APC to take over power. “I see many trooping from PDP to APC.”
It would be recalled that Ekwonna predicted the ouster of Ihedioha through the Supreme Court as well as the travails of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Justice Onnoghen among other predictions.
