The National Chairman, Youth Wing, Christian Association of Nigeria (YOWICAN), Amb. Belusochukwu Michael Enwere has called on citizens, especially Christians to live in unity.

In a statement made available to our reporter on Sunday, Belusochukwu advised Christ followers to use the Easter celebration to reflect on “the unconditional love JesusChrist, our Lord and Saviour, has for the world to the extent that He gave His life for our salvation”.

Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma (right) receives a copy of the Holy Bible Presented to him to celebrate Easter by Leadership of Imo State CAN lead by it Chairman, Rev Eches Divine Eches(5th left) Imo YOWICAN Chairman, Elder Okechukwu Orji(4th left) Vice Chairman, Apostle Bethel Onumajuru (3rd left) Mrs. Ebere Divine Eches(2nd left) and Archbishop Victory Kalu

Belusochukwu reminded that Christ resurrection had brought humanity close to God, saying His sacrifice was a lesson for young people to learn what sacrifice portends and the benefit it can bring to mankind generally and individually.

“I call on all, whether Christian or Muslim, to emulate Christ and sacrifice something for the society, neighbors, families and yourselves. Young people are the change agents, let us not ask ourselves who will change our nation for the better. You and I are the ones that will cause the desired change our nation needs. Change begins with you and I. Youths should look in the mirror and ask how they can change society for better”, he added.

However, YOWICAN condemned the recent killings of innocent people in Ebonyi, Enugu and Benue State, demanding justice, asking those who do evil to repent and fear God.
“Let us emulate Christ and have a change of heart. Turn from our evil ways to good. Let this Easter be the beginning of a positive change in our nation, Africa and the world at large. I join well-meaning Christian faithful to thank God for giving us the grace to witness this year’s Easter celebration”, he maintained.
