Anambra Labour Party Governorship Candidate, Chief George Mogbahlu has called for the disbandment of the state security outfits known as Udo Ga Chi.
Moghalu made this known during an interview with journalists at the party house, in Udoka Estate Awka, on Wednesday, 20th August, 2025.
Speaking to News Men, Moghalu said this is not the first instance of these secuirty brutalization, intimidation and harrassament by Udo Ga Chi. There are cases they have killed, threatened to maim and equally caused unnecessary traffic where they collect money from people”.
He queried about the whereabout of the girl and not to brutalise her. Moreover she is a NYSC memeber and that alone to respect her.
“They should be disbanded and trained so they can understand what they are doing on Security. If there are serious security attention, they should not only be expelled the culprits but brought them to face the law.
I am also calling on the Federal government to intervene because it’s a total embarrassment to the state. I called for this to say my views on their lackadaisical attitutes and operation and express my disguise by udo ga chi which is a political outfit rather than for security purposes.
Meanwhile, Moghalu stated that the last election was not a concern to him as Labour Party did not participate.
