Former People’s Democratic Party Gubernatorial aspirant in Anambra, Mr. Valentine Chineto Ozigbo, has said that he will begin to visit various radio stations to discuss the assessment of Prof Charles Soludo two years in office for what he perceives as an underperformance.

Ozigbo who spoke during a media chat with journalists on saturday, 23rd, March, 2024 equally used the opportunity to announced his intention to run for the 2025 gubernatorial election in Anambra, aiming to restore hope to Ndi Anambra.

According to Ozigbo, “after two years I have to speak and hold Soludo accountable. From this week, I will begin to visit various radio stations to discuss Prof Soludo’s two years in office. 2023 can’t go unnoticed, we have to make way for our people to be know where we are going and what we hold deep for them.

‘People are suffering, are we going to wait and see our struggles die off? We have to change the narrative, keep the hope alive. Let’s prepare and bring back our hopes. We should keep working hard to see We win this election. We can win the election and I am confident of that”

Addressing the issue of zoning in the state, the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Transnational Corporation of Nigeria Plc (Transcorp) pledged to adhere to the zoning arrangement and serve only one term in office.

“Zoning is important, but it must be complemented by competence. We should not choose a candidate solely based on their zone, nor should we settle for the best when we can have someone better. I respect the principle of zoning, and I advocate for a single term of four years. As demonstrated by Alex Otti’s work in Abia, four years is sufficient to achieve significant progress.

“I commit to honouring the zoning principle and am open to entering into an agreement to serve just one term. Additionally, I echo the sentiments of Mr. Peter Obi, a highly respected politician in Africa, who advocates for a single term for the southern candidate who emerges,” he stated.
