The 40th President of Rotary Club of Umuahia, Abia State, District 9142, Lynda Dimgba has assured that her administration will embark on economic empowerment and community development to encourage the growth of small and medium enterprises in Umuahia.
Speaking at Margaret hall, Umuahia, shortly after her installation as the Pathfinder President of Rotary Club of Umuahia, Dimgba said the club under her watch would empower ten (10) women and youths involved in Small and Medium scale businesses with micro-credit facilities of fifty thousand naira each.
She said her administration will also provide Rotary customized umbrella for petty traders and engage youths and women in two churches of Umuahia North and South LGAs in skill acquisition seminars and workshops.
Other areas her one year tenure will focus on, according to her include: disease prevention and treatment; basic education and literacy; water and sanitation; maternal and child health; peace building, conflict prevention, resolution and environmental protection.
