Acharity organization, Hope PAPCOP Foundation for Development International, has given food items; rice, beans, cooking ingredients and money to over hundred women in Owerri, especially Sabbath worshippers.
Hand bags, Covid- 19 safety items such as face masks, hand sanitizers were also given to the women whose temperatures were equally tested with the foundation teaching them how to wash their hands with running water to maintain hygiene and safety.
The gesture took place at The Lord of Lords Sabbath Mission Worldwide, Ugwu- Orji, opposite Imo State University main gate, Owerri, last Sunday.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after the gesture, the founder, Hope PAPCOP Foundation Development International, Hope Emmanuel, who was represented by Emerenini Chizo, said the gesture was to assist the women to meet the challenges of Coronavirus Pandemic, which she frowned ravaged humanity across the globe.
Hope Emmanuel, who noted that the gesture was for every woman that can be reached in Imo State, irrespective of class or denomination promised that humanitarian gesture will always, be carried out by Hope PAPCOP Foundation Development International to help women ameliorate hardship while living happily and comfortably with their families.
Hope Emmanuel, however, urged all well- meaning persons in the society to always assist women in dire need to reduce poverty and vulnerability. She thanked the women for identifying with the foundation which she said would tow the path of God as it helps the needy and the sick.
The beneficiaries, through Mrs Chinwendu Miriam Okorie, appreciated the founder of Hope PAPCOP Foundation Development International, Sister Hope Emmanuel, for the gesture, praying that God strengthens her and her family and replenish her pocket.
