All is set as famous gospel artists will be landing in Onitsha for the 2025 edition of Ave Maria Praise, organized by the Faithspiration Initiative to commemorate the birthday of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Catholic Church celebrates the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, daughter of Saints Joachim and Anne, and Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ every year on September 8, a significant feast in the Church’s liturgical calendar.
This year’s event promises to be a grand celebration, featuring several renowned gospel artists, including Evangelist Onyeka Obiezu, Sister Chioma Ezefete, Igwe White, Ada Zion, and social media sensation Akam, among others.
Ave Maria Praise 2025 will take place on Monday, September 8, at SS. John & Paul Parish, Iba Pope, Awada, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. The event is scheduled to run from 12 noon to 6 p.m.
Dignitaries expected to attend include the Chancellor of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Prudentius Emeka Aroh; Rev. Fr. Jude Onyeagolu; and numerous other Catholic priests. The Archbishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha, His Grace Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke, will serve as the chief host.
Faithspiration Initiative, led by Very Rev. Fr. Dr. George Adimike of the Onitsha Archdiocese, is a Catholic organization composed of priests, seminarians, youth, and adult lay faithful.
It is a nonprofit initiative focused on faith formation, human development, leadership, and youth entrepreneurship. The group is dedicated to drawing young people closer to God and addressing the growing antagonism toward the Christian faith.
