Presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa has told the party’s delegates to vote for him based on his manifesto, not because of pecuniary gains.

Ohuabunwa maintained that he would not offer any bribe to any delegate to vote for him, as may be applied by some Presidential aspirants.

Ohuabunwa, who spoke to journalists in Umuahia, Abia state, said he joined the presidential race to offer a selfless service to the Nigeria.

He acknowledged that though money is important in executing logistics before and during the primaries, it should not be prioritized above the competence of a presidential material.

He frowned at the alleged plans by some aspirants to bribe party delegates with money, stressing that the best candidate would not emerge through money-bagged process.

“I will not bribe anybody in this country. I will preach my message and let you and conscience to decide on what to do. “Because I’m not coming to seek anything for myself, I’m coming to sacrifice myself, my comfort, my resources for the good of my country. So I don’t need to bribe people to do that sacrifice expect I’m looking for something else”, he stated.

The presidential hopeful maintained that building a new Nigeria is not an uphill task to him; rather it’s the easiest thing to do for him as according to him, had done the preparations.

“If this country was Israel or United Arab Emirates in those days, countries that lives close to deserts and rocks, I will be worried. But we are in a nation that is blessed. One of the most blessed countries in the world. We have all year round agriculture, fair weather sable soil, the earth crust is rich with solid and liquid and gas minerals.

“The human capital is rich, intelligent and strong people who are ready to learn and work, so Nigeria has all that it takes to grow, all it needs is just a leader to harness them to lunch Nigeria’s creativity, motivate Nigerians to optimize all this natural endowments. To create a country that is rich. What we want to do to turn Nigeria into a construction site value adding, so that there will work and productivity”

“We are under developed is because of low productivity, that’s why we have poor GDP, poor capital per income, poor purchasing power, low value of our local currency, they are all relative to productivity, the more we can produce and market the more we are able to generate wealth we can then use to sure up our economy”.

The Pharmacist expressed hope that 2023 polls would be decided by Nigerians, whom he said, were politically wiser and enlightened than before.
