Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has secured another victory , the as the Appeal Court sitting in Kano, Kano state, has dismissed the May 18 judgement given by Justice M.N. Yunusa of the Kano state Federal High Court, which sacked the Governor.

Giving ruling on Friday, the Appeal court faulted the trial court’s hasty determination of the suit even, without joining necessary parties who were the actual target of the claims in the suit.

The appellate Court therefore, awarded one million naira (N1,000,000) cost against the plaintiff.

It would be recalled that one Haruna Ibrahim Haruna had gone to Court, claiming that the process that produced Labour Party candidates before the last general election, did not comply with some sections of the Electoral Act.

Meanwhile, the news of the Appeal Court judgement, threw the entire Abia State government house into celebration as government appointees and their aids danced in joy while thanking God for the victory.
