The state vice chairman of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA), Mazi Jerry Okwukaogwu, has said that APGA was formed to strengthen development, peace and progress in South East.
He said APGA is a mass movement which has been winning elections in the region since the rebirth of democracy in the country, saying the party is determined to win the forthcoming local government and general elections to help assuage poverty, unemployment, insecurity and bad governance.
Speaking with journalists at the party’s secretariat, Owerri, last week, Okwukaogwu maintained that APGA is the best party in Igbo which has the vision to create opportunities for economic prosperity, better life and security.
Affirming the party’s willingness for a peaceful and prosperous Igbo society, Okwukaogwu stated that APGA represents victory and hope of Igbo race, reiterating that APGA is solidly charged to beat in elections with a view to restoring good governance and human dignity in the region.
Lauding the ingenuity and pragmatism of APGA leadership and followers, APGA chairman of Ihitte Uboma, Chief Ugwu Osuagwu, stressed that formidability and republican sense of members of the party will endear APGA to electoral victory.
Osuagwu added that the hoisting of new flags at the APGA secretariat symbolises its preparedness for election.
