Anambra Commissioner of Police resuscitates public complaint unit

Anambra State Commissioner of Police, Monday Bala Kuryas has approved the resuscitation of Anambra State Police Public Complaint Bureau (PCB).
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the command, Haruna Mohammed (CSP) disclosed this in a press statement. According to Mohammed, the unit will among others receive, process and investigate complaints from members of the public through electronic and social media platforms about police misconduct and other sundry complaints, as well as investigate sensitive and special cases through complaints and petitions under the direct supervision of the Commissioner of Police.
The PPRO said that the unit will also investigate cases of piracy, intellectual theft and perform other duties as may be directed by the CP.
He urged members of the public who have genuine complaint, information or suggestions to feel free to avail same through the following mediums, facebook: Anambra Police Public Complaints and Anti-Piracy unit, Gmail: appcapanambracommand@gmail.com, call/WatsApp Message. -08172026187/08060970639 and a 24-hour toll free call for C4i number 08031230631.
The Anambra State Police Command also enjoined the public to download the NPF Rescue Me App recently unveiled by the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar Adamu (IGP) to enable them to report distress for prompt response.
Haruna Mohammed said that the Application can be downloaded from Google Android/IOS APP stores or visit www.npfc4i.com free of charge and operates on a 24-hour/7 day’s basis. The command assures Anambra of absolute confidentiality and prompt response.
