Bishop Ugochukwu Ogbonna of Goodnews Pentecostal Church, Umuahia has described death as a journey that awaits every human being, irrespective of age and achievement.

Bishop Ogbonna stated this at Umuagu Ohuhu, Umuahia on Saturday during the burial of four children of the same parents, who died in their sleeps on August 25.

The bodies of the little children, aged from 3 to 12, died in their father’s friend’s house at Umueze after consuming a meal of suya and juice, though there were claims that they may have died of smoke from power generator.

Their host, Mr. Sunday Ogba and his two children also died on the same fateful night.

Delivering his sermon at Umuagu primary, Bishop Ogbonna charged Christians to prepare to meet their maker as death may come at any time.

He praised Mr. and Mrs. Chibuzor Ikwunze for training their late kids in the ways of God, saying that only God has the full explanations to why the kids suffered the fate.

In their tributes, the parents of the late kids, Chibuzor Ikwunze who could not hold their tears, said it is most painful thing in life to lose four kids in one swoop, even as they said they have left everything in the hands of God.

“I find it hard to explain what actually happened and how we lost our four kids the same day. It is only God that would console us”, lamented Mr. Chibuzor Ikwunze.

Wife of Abia State Governor, Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu was represented at the burial while the President-General of Ohuhu Welfare Association, Chief Obi Aguocha was also present.

The four kids who were laid to rest were Kelechi, Chibuzor, Simdi and Oluomachi.
