Anambra State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Afam Obidike has stated that Ebenesi Nnobi Primary Healthcare Centre will soon receive intervention from the state Government. Dr. Obidike who was accompanied by the Managing Director State Health Insurance Agency (ASHIA), Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi was to ensure that health service delivery is effective and accessible to the people.
According to the Commissioner, the routine visit to the hospital is for him to have firsthand information on the activities going across government owned facilities as well as the challenges, while he offered his advice to the officer in charge of the facility. “I must commend the officer in charge of this facility, other health personnel because I didn’t inform them that we are coming here.
“We arrived here this evening and met them attending to patients which is highly commendable.’’ He assured that committed health personnel will be rewarded for their commitment to duties while urging the public to help monitor government health facilities for optimal services.
According to him, Gov. Charles Soludo has approved the use of Tele-medicine to bridge the gaps noticed in Primary Healthcare Centers across the state. Earlier, MD ASHIA, Dr. Simeon Onyemaechi said his agency will give the facility necessary assistance to function effectively.
