The Department of Mechanical Engineering,
Nnamdi Azikiwe University, UNIZIK, Awka, has honored the member representing Oyi Constituency in the Anambra state house of assembly, Hon Innocent Ojike in recognition of his input towards education development.
News Echo reports that Engineer Iwu-Nwachukwu who spoke on behalf of the head of department Dr. Jude Dara, while
presenting the award, extolled Hon. Ojike’s supports to education describing him as a rare breed.
Engr. Nwachukwu noted that the department resolved to honor Hon Ojike for his passion for education which is rare from this generation of political leaders.
Nwachukwu urged other political leaders to borrow leaves from Ojicam in order to improve education standard.
Receiving the award, Hon Ojike who is the chairman House of Assembly committee on trade and commerce, appreciated the management and students of Mechanical engineering department, UNIZIK for such recognition.
According to the lawmaker, investing in education is something every well meaning individuals should indulge in for education is the foundation for every development.
Ojike stated that he would continue to do his best in making sure that students have conducive learning environment which is part of his legislative agenda to the people of Oyi constituency.
