As News Echo Newspaper and News Insider magazine celebrate one year anniversary, the Publisher of News Echo Newspaper and News Insider Magazine, Chief (Prof.) Chimezie Kingsley (Ebubemba Ikeduru) has said that there is need for journalists to practice true journalism.

Kingsley made this known during the celebration of the one year anniversary with staff of the organization last Friday at the conference hall.

The Publisher noted that the vision and mission of the outfits is to pioneer new ways to serve the public and provide credible reports across all media platforms, especially that the media outfits aims to inspire and promote exceptional journalism, innovative and excellence through quality outfits which are reliable and accountable.

He revealed that apart from offering platforms for true journalism to thrive, it is also a way of contributing to the development and stability of the society, adding that it is also for a humanitarian effort to support mankind vis-à-vis the media profession.

The Publisher who lauded the editorial team, charged them not to relent in the work they doing to further the ideals of Ndigbo and Nigeria at large. He commended the correspondents across the states for their good works, urging them to keep the spirit afloat.

Kingsley posited that having gone through the good, bad and ugly journey in the past one year, it is believed that the second year will no longer be learning robes but a cruise level for the organization, stressing that the media outfits will continue to do their journalistic work of properly placing the facets of the society for continued sustenance of the profession without being deterred by both seen and unseen hindrances.

He urged the revered readers to always read both the hardcopy and soft copy (online version) of the newspaper and magazine to get the latest news.

The employees who have been with the company for the year expressed their gratitude towards the Publisher for giving them the opportunity to practice true journalism and competing favorably in the market, especially that News Echo newspaper has become the delight of readers of the South East and beyond.
