The father of the General Manager of Deking Group of Companies, Mr. James Kalu will be laid to rest on the 7 January (today) at Ndi Agwu Okpo compound, Odumchiakuma Autonomous community, Ihechiowa, Arochukwu L. G. A, Abia State.
News Echo reports that Pa Pius Kalu Okoro was a community leader, humane, down to earth, devout Christian, a father of all and mobilizer of development of the community. He lived a life worthy of emulation and stood for the truth without minding whose ox was gored.
The funeral service will be preceded by Night of Tributes/Wake Keep at his residence, followed by thanksgiving service at St. Mulumba Catholic Church on the 9th January. Pa Okoro aged 92 years will be missed by family members, relations and well-wishers.
