Five years after a man, Master Ejindu wedded two women, same day in Abriba, another indigene of the community is set to perform the same shocking feat in the Abia State town.
This time, a rich businesses man, Prince Okebulu Ndukwo Nkobi will marry two wives, Miss Nnenna Okeke and Miss Aluba Kalu, on November 19, at Ameke Abriba, Ohafia LGA.
According to an invitation card shared by the businessman, the event will take place at 2:pm at his private residence.
The private residence, which is located at late Chief Nkobi Akanu compound at Omsghuzo Ameke Abriba.
A further report from the relatives of the husband of two, said the man is not in a way perturbed by the eyebrows bring raised by concerned critics.
It has not been established if the marriage ceremony would be blessed by any church, as no church was indicated in the invitation.
But a source close to Prince Okebulu Ndukwo Nkobi, disclosed that a Man of God will be present to join the three persons together on Sunday, November 19.
Some traditionalist in Abia State have said that nothing is wrong with the marriage, explaining that it was better for the man to marry two persons, as was done in the past, than for him to engage in extra-marital affairs after marrying one wife.
But the news has not gone down well with many Christian priests and church members, as they view the planned marriage as strange and unbiblical.
News Echo recalls that another indigene of Abriba, simply identified as Master Ejindu, married two wives same day, in February, 2018 at Amaogudu, Abriba.
In the 2018 episode, the husband, Ejindu, wedded his two wives, Miss Ebere and Miss Oyediya, to the chagrin of many onlookers.
Abriba is the hometown of popular gospel music singer, Paul Nwokocha, who recently took a new wife, Goodness, after ‘separating’ from his former wife, Alice.
